Bring your humor here.....an email I received today.....
« on: January 09, 2006, 05:31:56 PM »
I hope you all can appreicate this.  I got this from a friend of mine, and actually thought this was quite funny, so I'm copying and pasting it here.

Enjoy.

"By now, everyone has heard about "Brokeback Mountain", the story of two cowboys who find love in Wyoming.  Well, here is a list of "variations" to be on the look out for.  Coming soon to a theater near you......."

1.  Hunchback Mountain - Gay hunchbacks out for adventure and fun in the west.

2.  Back Fat Mountain -  A female Bonanza, more or less.  I see Cameron Manheim as "Hoss".

3.  Fatback Mountain - Barbecue and bluegrass.  Yee-haa!

4.  Baby Got Back Mountain -  self-explanatory.  Will do well in urban markets.  Sequel:  Baby Got Even MORE  Back Mountain.

5.  Yolk Crack Mountain -  Humpty-Dumpty with a contemporary twist.  Produced with a grant from the American Dairy Association.

6.  Broke Tap Mountain - Starring Savion Glover as a tap dancer with a broken tap.  Has to work as a logger to earn the money to get a new one.  The late Gregory Hines and Ann Miller appear in flashbacks as his guardian
angels.

7.  Broke Fax Mountain - Gay office workers fight over who broke the fax machine and hair care products.  Great Broadway show tune soundtrack.

8.  Roberta Flack Mountain - Tonight, she celebrates her love for Melissa Etheridge back at the bunkhouse.

9.  Flashdance Mountain - Jennifer Beals, fresh off her role in the series "The L Word" is back reprising her role in the original movie, except now she's a lesbian and trying to start a ballet school in Tacoma.  George Kennedy
guest stars as the crochety retired ranch hand with a heart of gold who mentors her on life in the hard country.

10.  Flapjack Mountain - over-the-hill strippers working at iHop to try and save up for breast augmentation and their own gentleman's club.

Shooting has already started on the sequel to Brokeback Mountain. The story centers on Ennis' new partner on the mountain, and provides some  much-needed contrast to the first, more melancholy film.

Here is a good chuckle

National Ledger - Apache Junction,AZ,USA  http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_27262852.shtml

Ray also needs to say oooops. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin believes the hurricanes and Iraq war are signs God is mad at America. Maybe Ray should join with Pat Robertson and plead,  “We know you’re mad at us, God, but we didn’t realize you were so pissed off that you’d let ‘Brokeback Mountain’ win all those awards!”

New thread:  Jack's fate, a/k/a BBM parody plot lines (apologies to Agatha Christy):

1.  "Randall" hired Lureen's high school beau (who's always wanted to get back together with her) to murder Jack, so "Randall" can take up with Ennis and build a log cabin on Brokenback Creek, a little north of Signal Butte, WY

2.  L.J., Lureen's father, and Jack stage their own deaths; they're secret lovers, and decamp to Mexico to be together.

3.  Lureen hires Aguirre to bump Jack off (Aguirre never liked him anyway), so Lureen can move to Riverton, and take up with Alma.

Etc.
"Ennis del Mar wakes before five....The shirts hanging on a nail shudder slightly in the draft..It could be bad on the highway with the horsetrailer. He has to be packed and away from the place that morning...The wind strikes the trailer like a load of dirt coming off a dump truck, eases, dies...."

Bareback Mountain

"An unflinching look at the love between two men, as poignant and shocking today as it was the day before yesterday."
